The patrol division is the backbone of the Sheriff’s Office. It operates with four 12 hour shifts. The Deputies assigned to this division of the department are responsible for patrolling the rural areas of Humphreys County. Patrol answers calls for service, serves criminal and civil warrants, investigates crimes, conduct traffic enforcement, crime prevention, and serves the general public. The Patrol Division is supervised by Lieutenant Jay Phelps.
