Humphreys County Sheriff's Office

The criminal investigations division is responsible for conducting long term investigations relating to property or violent crimes. Patrol will initially respond to any scene. If a case is determined to take several man hours to investigate, then patrol will turn the case over to the detectives. The detectives will conduct such investigations as murder, child abuse, sexual related crimes, burglary, robbery, theft, and any other crime that needs attention.

The Sheriff has dedicated one detective to drug suppression. Drugs have a detrimental affect on our community. Substance abuse is the leading cause of crime in Humphreys County. The work of these to detectives will make Humphreys County a safer place for all it's citizens.
